COLUMBIA, Mo. - Omaha women's golf completed its second tournament of the fall 2024 schedule Tuesday as the Mavericks finished the rain-shortened Johnie Imes Invitational hosted by Missouri at The Club at Old Hawthorne. Originally scheduled for 54 holes, inclement weather on Monday, Sept. 13 forced the cancelation of the third round which led to two 18-hole days to round-out the event.
Florida Gulf Coast finished one under par to take the team title. The Eagles' Amelie Alcantara led all players with a two-round score of five-under, carding a score of 69 in the first round and 70 in the second.
Omaha finished 10th in the 13-team field as the Mavericks finished 37-over (+18, +19).
Macarena Garcia Terron led Omaha in the field finishing 18th overall shooting 75 in both rounds (+6).
Katie Ruge and
Emily Karmazin matched for the team's low round of the tournament at 73 which Ruge carded in the second round and Karmazin in the first. 75 players participated in the two-day event.
