SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Omaha women's golf finished first of 12 teams Tuesday in the three-round Payne Stewart Memorial, hosted by Missouri State at Twin Oaks Country Club (par 71). The Mavericks carded a two-day total of 872, finishing nine strokes ahead of second-place finisher Oral Roberts. With the win, Omaha etches its first team title of the season.

Victoria Grasso in her new role.
Omaha's
Katie Ruge captured the individual championship in the 67-player field by six strokes with a three-round total of 206 (-7). Ruge shot 69, 67 and 70 during the season-opening event. She recorded 14 birdies in 54 holes.
Emily Karmazin also finished in the top 10, shooting 220 for a T6 finish.
