Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 The Omaha Mavericks men's tennis squad grabbed a win over Abilene Christian during their three-match trip to Texas.

The road trip started against Baylor on Friday the 8th. The Mavericks fell 7-0 to the 25th ranked Bears. Omaha bounced back on Monday with a 4-3 victory over the Wildcats of Abilene Christian.

Despite dropping the doubles point, Quintan Van Wijk,  Ryoma Mishiro, Bryan Kuntz and Ethan Gaubert all rattled off singles victories to complete the comeback victory. Kuntz and Gaubert each claimed victory in three sets while Van Wijk Mishiro won in straight sets. The win ended the Mavericks three-match losing skid and secured their 11th victory of the campaign.

In their final match of the road trip, Omaha was narrowly edged 4-2 by New Mexico State. Quintan Van Wijk and Ethan Gaubert each won straight set singles matches to get the Mavericks two points today.

"Not a bad trip for us overall, we played one of our best team matches this season against ACU, with Bryan Kuntz with another clinch for his team. What a year for that guy," head coach Matt Barlow said. "Unfortunately, we couldn't turn around and replicate against New Mexico State. We were shorthanded and things just didn't go our way today, but credit to them for fighting hard and taking it to us. Looking forward our first weekend off to rest and recover to get ready for North Dakota."

Omaha will enjoy a nice break before getting back to business against North Dakota on March 23.
