Omaha, Neb.- The Omaha Mavericks swept the final day of the Connie Claussen Classic. The Mavericks shutout the Northern Colorado Bears 8-0 in six innings and Rider 4-0. 
 
The Mavericks improve to an 18-7 overall record on the campaign and extend their winning streak to seven with four straight shutouts. 
 
Game One: Omaha 8, Northern Colorado 0 (6 inn.)
How It Happened
•    The Mavericks wasted no time putting up three runs in the first inning. 
•    
Lynsey Tucker opened the day with a triple. 
Sydney Thomason hit a double on a 2-2 count to send Tucker in for a 1-0 lead. 
•    Ross hit a single and sent Thomason home for their second run. 
•    Ross stole second, setting her up to score on 
Emma Durr's single. 
•    In the bottom of the second with bases loaded, 
Ava Rongisch beat the tag at home to put Omaha up 4-0. 
•    The top of the fifth was quick with two strikeouts by 
Kamryn Meyer and a pop-up to shortstop.  
•    The Mavericks got the job done in the sixth. 
Emma Durr hit a double to left field. 
Sydney Ross scored but 
Alex Olson was tagged out at home. 
•    
Rylan Ewoldt came in to pinch-hit for 
Marra Cramer. Ewoldt placed the ball just over the head of the third baseman and just in front of the left fielder, allowing Durr to score from second. 
•    Tucker boosted the Mavericks to a run-rule win with a double to center sending in Ewoldt and 
Olivia Aden.  
 
Game Notes
•    Tucker and Ross each went 2-for-3 at-bat with two runs and one double. Tucker recorded two RBIs and one triple. 
•    Durr went 2-for-4 at-bat with two RBIs, one run, and one double. 
•    Ross paced the team with nine putouts. 
•    
Kamryn Meyer picked up her ninth win after pitching the complete six innings. Meyer assisted in the shutout with nine strikeouts and only allowed two hits. 
 
Game Two: Omaha 3, Rider 0 
How It Happened
•    
Marra Cramer got the Mavericks on the board in the third with a deep home run to left field. 
•    
Ava Rongisch flew out to right field, but 
Lynsey Tucker scored to make it 2-0 in the bottom of the third. 
•    
Tatum Montelongo had two big back-to-back strikeouts in the top of the sixth to keep Rider scoreless.  
•    
Sydney Thomason hit the Maverick's second home run of the day in the bottom of the sixth, making it 3-0. 
 
Game Notes
•    
Tatum Montelongo pitched her first complete seven-inning game, picking up her second win and first shutout. Montelongo threw five strikeouts and only allowed three hits and one walk. 
•    
Marra Cramer scored her first collegiate home run. Cramer also went 1-for-2 at-bat and recorded one RBI. 
•    
Haley Wilwerding had a team-high seven putouts in game two.

The Mavericks will head to West Lafayette, Indiana to play Purdue in a three-game series going from Thursday, March 14 to Saturday, March 16.
