How It Happened

•    Omaha got on the board early with two runs in the first. Sydney Ross hit a two-run double to right-center, sending Maggie O'Brien and Ava Rongisch home.
•     In the bottom of the fifth Sydney Thomason came up to bat with two outs. Her hit to left field was dropped allowing Lynsey Tucker who was already in motion to slide into home, putting Omaha up 3-0.
•    Sammy Schmidt hit a line drive to the second baseman, but she beat the attempted tag at first. In addition to the single, Emma Durr advanced home from third to make it a 4-0 game.
•    Sydney Nuismer entered the top of the seventh looking to notch a no-hitter. It was a quick three up three down inning after she struck out the final two batters.
