The Omaha Mavericks men's tennis squad continue's their four-game homestand this weekend when they welcome Gonzaga and Montana State to Miracle Hill Tennis Center.
Omaha enters the match riding a three-match winning streak. Over their streak they've defeated Weber State on the road and then Youngstown State and Pratt Community College at home. Gonzaga has only played two matches so far this season. Winning both contests, their last competition was on January 28, a 6-1 over Idaho.
Montana State is 4-2 on the campaign but comes into Sunday's match having dropped their last two tilts.
Starting 5-4 on the season,
Bryan Kuntz and and
Quintan Van Wijk lead all Mavericks with 5-4 singles records. In doubles, it's Kuntz and
Mikhail Korkunov leading the way each with five doubles victories this year. All five of those wins have come as a doubles pairing.
Following this weekend's home matches, Omaha will jump back on the road for two matches against Marquette and Eastern Illinois.
Tomorrow's action gets underway early at 10:00 a.m. with free coffee and donuts for fans. Omaha and Montana State will square off at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
