Finishing the regular season with a 14-2 record in-conference, Omaha finished second in the Summit League and faced eventual tournament champion South Dakota in the Summit League Championship semifinal, falling in four sets to the Coyotes.
Three Summit League teams are still competing with both South Dakota and South Dakota State in the NCAA tournament and Omaha in the NIVC.
Three student-athletes earned postseason honors from this year's Maverick squad with
Kali Jurgensmeier (OH/Wahoo, Neb./Bishop Neumann) and
McKenna Ruch (MB/Omaha, Neb./Millard North) earning All-League Team honors and
Shayla McCormick (OH/Omaha, Neb./Omaha Skutt Catholic) earning a Honorable Mention All-Summit League nod. With 455 career total blocks, Ruch, the MVP of last season's Summit League tournament, is tied for seventh all-time in Summit League history. Ruch was named to the Summit League All-Tournament Team.
