LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. - Omaha women's golf wrapped up the fall 2024 slate Tuesday with the two-day, three-round Loyola Parkinson Family Invitational at the Merit Club in Libertyville, Ill. The Mavericks'
Katie Ruge finished strong in the final round to capture her second individual win of the season.
The team finished ninth in the field of 13, shooting an aggregate score of 916 in the five-count-four format (+52).
Ruge was in the chase for the lead Tuesday afternoon and eagled the par-5 18th hole to move into pole position. Ruge finished her week 1-under shooting 75 (+3), 70 (-2) and 70 (-2) for a three-round total of 215.
Hosted by Loyola Chicago, the Mavericks' final tournament of the semester was played on a par 72 course, measuring 6,041 yards.
Illinois State captured the team title at 14-over.
Macarena Terron finished 28th overall,
Sydney Taake finished 57th and
Emily Karmazin and Lavina Romito tied for 67th. Omaha had two individuals in the tournament with
Emma Kirvan and
Elly Honnens finished 65th and T70, respectively.
