With their home schedule complete, The Mavericks (9-2-3, 3-1-1) are on the road for the final two weeks of the season, starting this Thursday at Denver (9-5-1, 3-1-1) at 8 p.m. (CT)/7 p.m. (MT), followed by one at Oral Roberts (7-6-2, 2-1-1) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Quick Kicks
• The Mavericks enter the final stretch of the season sitting in second place in the Summit League, trailing only South Dakota State (3-0-1) in the league standings. Both teams have 10 points, but the Jackrabbits hold the tiebreaker with one less loss.
• Last week, Omaha swept its final week at home with a pair of 1-0 shutouts vs. North Dakota and St. Thomas, giving the team three-consecutive 1-0 shutouts after winning at South Dakota earlier this month.
• Omaha's 6-1-2 record at home is the program's best in the Division I era, topping the 2018 by a single tie (6-1-1). The Mavericks have outscored their opponents 12-7 at home this season.
• Lifting Omaha past UND on Thursday was
Meg Nemnich who, on Senior Day, scored her first career goal after not recording one across her four-year career.
• Then, on Saturday vs. UST, it was
Grace Crockett's record-setting assist that allowed
Marissa Gohr to score her fourth goal of the season to give Omaha the win. The assist was Crockett's 15th of her career, breaking the program's Division I assists record. For her efforts in also leading Omaha's defense to back-to-back shutouts, she was named the Summit League Defensive Peak Performer of the Week.

Mia Reedtz Rehde Olesen and
Maja Baun played 45 minutes apiece in both matches, with the former earning her career-high seventh win of the season on Sunday. The duo now rank first and second in the league and sixth and 21st in the nation in save percentage at .889 and .860, respectively. They also combine to rank first in the league and 10th in the nation in save percentage (.871) and first in the league and 26th nationally in GAA (.643).
Scouting the Denver Pioneers
The Pioneers are locked in a virtual tie for second place in the conference with Omaha at 3-1-1 in league play and 9-5-1 overall. Following wins over St. Thomas (3-1) and North Dakota State (2-1) last week, Denver ranks second in the league with 1.867 goals per game and fifth in goals allowed with 1.20 per game.
Pioneers to Watch
With three goals scored last week, senior midfielder Ella Frost was named the league's offensive performer of the week. She now has seven goals and 16 points on the season, both of which are the most in the league.
Also placing atop a league leaderboard is sophomore midfielder Michaela McGowan who paces the Summit with seven assists. She also has three goals and 13 points. Freshman forward Megan Murray also finds herself ranking in the league's top 10 in a couple of stats with her four goals, four assists, and 12 points all making the cut.
Alina Santos and Molly Wissman have split time in goal this year for Denver, with Santos making six starts and totaling 27 saves for a .818 save percentage, and Wissman making nine starts with 30 saves and a .714 save percentage.
Series History
Omaha trails the all-time series with Denver 2-12-1. Last season, the two teams played to a 0-0 tie in the regular season, before meeting again in the conference semifinals where they were again tied 2-2 at the end of overtime, at which point the Mavericks took the match in the shootout 3-2, with
Marissa Gohr and
Emilie Erland scoring the decisive goals.
Scouting the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles
The Golden Eagles sit in the middle of the pack in the Summit League standings at 7-6-2 with a 2-1-1 conference record. Last week, after going undefeated in their previous six matches, ORU fell 2-1 at North Dakota State. As a team, they are averaging 1.667 goals per game, but are also allowing 1.667 goals per game.
Golden Eagles to Watch
Senior midfielder Samantha Guzman leads the ORU offense with six goals and 14 points, tying her for first in the league in goals and second in points. Earlier this year against North Dakota she recorded her second career two-goal game. She now has 18 goals and 48 points in her career.
Tied with Guzman with 14 points is junior forward Julia Thasaphong. She is currently tied for fourth in the league with five goals and is one of four Golden Eagles who is tied for fifth in the league with four assists.
Junior goalkeeper Alexa Riefer leads the entire Summit League with 79 saves and 5.27 saves per game. Facing 212 shots on the season, she currently owns a .767 save percentage and 1.66 GAA.
Series History
The Mavericks and Golden Eagles are a dead-even 6-6-1 in the all-time series. Since starting off 0-3, though, Omaha has a 6-3-1 advantage since 2016. ORU came out on top 2-1 in their last meeting in 2023.
