Inside the First Half
As has been the case many times this year, Fidler got off to an absolutely blazing start, scoring 10 of the team's 18 points through the first 10 minutes, including the first three of the night for Omaha. Despite Fidler's impressive numbers, though, the Bison were leading 18-11 with 12:32 to go. A pair of layups from White helped tie the game at 18 all at 10:40, before a three-pointer and the and-one from Osburn put the Mavericks on top 24-23 at 9:04.
Sutton drained the third triple of the night for Omaha 40 seconds later to maintain a slim 27-25 lead. Even after NDSU quickly managed to tie it again, the Mavericks got the lead right back on five-straight points from White to give Omaha its largest lead yet with under six to go at 32-27. Fidler's second three-pointer of the game made it a seven-point game with 2:41 left, but the Bison rallied down the stretch to cut the Mavericks' lead to 41-39 heading into halftime.
Inside the Second Half
NDSU's momentum carried over into the start of the second as they began with a 17-9 run through the first five minutes to pull ahead 56-50. Fidler cut the deficit in half with a three at 14:49, before blocking a Jacari White layup to set up Sutton for the fastbreak bucket to make it a one-point game.
While eight unanswered Bison points briefly halted Omaha's comeback attempt, the Mavericks immediately responded with a 12-5 run over the next four minutes to cut the lead to 69-67. Coming in off the bench,
Ja'Sean Glover later had two huge buckets for Omaha, first with a three-pointer at 6:02 and then a jumper from the top of the key to put the Mavericks back on top 79-78 with 2:45 to go.
Over the final few minutes both teams would trade multiple leads as things went down to the wire, culminating in an 82-82 tie to send it to overtime.
Overtime
After a scoreless first minute, Fidler and White nailed a couple of three-pointers to make it 88-84 Omaha with three minutes left. A layup from Davis and six free throws from Fidler and White kept the Mavericks on top 96-92 as they held on just long enough to claim the overtime victory.

- White's 19 points are a new career high as he has his sixth double-digit scoring game of the season. His team-leading seven assists are also a new season best.
