Columbia, Mo.-- The Omaha women's golf team is in 12th place after the second round of the Johnie Imes Invitational hosted by Missouri on Tuesday, Sept. 26.
The Mavericks scored 300 in the second round, adding to their score of 305 in the first round for a two-round total of 605. Omaha sits a stroke behind 11th-place Illinois State, and 12 strokes ahead of last-place Creighton. Lipscomb holds the lead at The Johnie after 36 holes with a score of 567. Florida International's Agustina Gomez Cisterna continues to lead the individual standings with a score of 136 so far.
Macarena Garcia and Nicole Hansen led the Mavericks with matching scores of 74 (+2) in round two on Tuesday. Garcia shares 28th place on the leaderboard with a 36-hole score of 148 as she leads the Mavericks through the fifth-straight round of golf to start the season. Hansen is five strokes behind Garcia with a two-round total of 153. Nicole leads the Mavericks with eight birdies over the first 36 holes.
Sydney Taake is in 55th place after using five birdies for a score of 77 (+5) in the second round. Taake has a score of 155 over the first two rounds. Lavinia Romito is four strokes behind Taake with a day-two total of 159. Romito shares 65th place after a 75 (+3) in round two.
