Mavericks Sweep Series from Lindenwood

OMAHA, Neb. - The Mavericks swept their second series of the month as they routed Lindenwood 11-1 in a seven-inning contest Sunday afternoon.

Omaha is back to just two games under .500 at 15-17, while the Lions drop to 9-31 after suffering their first sweep since the end of March.

Innings 1-4
The Mavericks quickly made it 2-0 in the bottom of the first and never looked back thanks to RBI singles from Devin Hurdle and Cam Frederick. On the mound, Charlie Bell was completely dialed in, working a 1-2-3- first inning and rebounding after allowing a run in the second by striking out two batters each in the third and fourth.

Omaha would take a five-run lead by the end of the fourth inning, with Eduardo Rosario kicking things off with a one-out single and his first career stolen base. Then, with two outs, Matt Goetzmann and Haiden Hunt knocked back-to-back RBI doubles before Mike Boeve finished off the rally with a liner to left to make it 6-1.

Innings 5-7
Bell continued to cruise over his final two innings, ending his day with two more swinging strikeouts in the sixth. Meanwhile, Omaha's bats continued to produce as Eddie Satisky crushed a no-doubt, three-run home run in the seventh to completely blow the game wide open. The next inning, Noah Greise came off the bench and sent the third pitch he saw over the left field wall to make it 11-1 and all but guarantee that the seven-inning 10-run rule would come into effect the next half inning.

Inside the Box Score
Greise's home run today was his fifth of the season, tying his total from last year with a whole month to go.

Boeve's RBI in the fourth gave him an even 20 on the season. He ends the week with a staggering .430 batting average.

Satisky is now tied with Zach Lechnir for the team lead in RBIs with 21.

Bell set a new season best with seven strikeouts today, putting him at 95 in his career.
