The Omaha Mavericks Softball squad completed a sweep of the UMKC Roos taking both games of today's doubleheader. Omaha won a pitchers duel in the first game coming out victorious 1-0 and 11-7 in game two.

Game One: Omaha 1, UMKC 0
How It Happened

• Maggie O'Brien singled to the shortstop bringing home Olivia Aden to score Omaha's only run of the game
• Omaha used six different hitters to register seven hits for the game
• Sydney Nuismer tallied her ninth win of the game tossing 5.1 scoreless innings allowing six hits and striking out three
• Kamryn Meyer registered her fourth save of the season

Game One: Omaha 11, UMKC 7
How It Happened

• Omaha opened up the game with a five run first inning
• In the 3rd inning, Lynsey Tucker hit an 2RBI single to make it 7-0
• UMKC scored six in the bottom of the 3rd inning to pull within one
• The Roos tied the game in bottom of the 5th inning at 7-7
• Omaha scored two runs in both the 6th and 7th innings to retake the lead 
• Sydney Nuismer came in to the game in the 5th inning and came away with her second win of the day
• In three innings pitched, Nuismer allowed one run on four hits and struck out one batter
