For the first time all season, the Omaha Softball team has lost five games in a row. Omaha fell in tonight's tilt, 5-3 against crosstown rival, the Creighton Bluejays.

How It Happened

• In the bottom of the 1st inning, the Bluejays hit a three-run homerun to take an early 3-0 lead over the Mavericks
• Omaha would answer back in the bottom of the 3rd when Rachel Weber singled up the middle bringing home Lynsey Tucker
• The very next at bat, Sydney Ross hit her team leading fourth homerun of the season to equalize things at 3-3
• Creighton would retake the lead in the bottom of the 4th inning on a sac fly out to left field
• The Bluejays added an insurance solo homerun to take a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the 6th inning

GAME NOTES

• Sydney Nuismer threw four strikeouts in four innings tonight bringing her season total to 60
• Tonight's loss snapped a three-game win streak against the Bluejays and is Creighton's first victory over Omaha since 2021
