McAllen, Texas— The Omaha women's golf team is in 11th place after the first two rounds of the UTRGV Invitational on Monday.
The Mavericks recorded a team score of 629 over 36 holes. Omaha shot 322 in the first round, improving to 307 in the second. They fall one stroke behind Northern Iowa, which sits in 10th place with a day-one total of 628. Houston Christian leads the event with a score of 567 so far.
Emily Karmazin leads the Mavericks with a two-round total of 151. The freshman is currently tied for 22nd place on the leaderboard after scoring an even 71 in round two.
Nicole Hansen shares 32nd place after a day-one total of 154. Hansen notched matching scores of 77 (+6) in the first two rounds.
Sydney Taake holds 54th place with a score of 160 through 36 holes. Macarena Garcia and Mika Miyata sit four strokes behind Taake in 64th place overall.
