Box Score The Omaha Mavericks Men's Tennis Squad took down the North Dakota Fighting Hawks 5-2 tonight. The Fighting Hawks were 15-4 coming into this evening's match.

"That's a good win against a good team," Omaha head coach Matt Barlow said. "I'm so proud of the guys. They played fearless, tough and together. That's all I can ask for as a coach."

The Mavericks improve to 10-7 on the season and earns their first conference victory in the Summit League play debut. Mikhail Korkunov, Davis Lawley, Ryoma Mishiro and Quintan Van Wijk all earned singles victories tonight. The doubles duos of Lawley/Van Wijk and Hugo Piles Ballester/ Alvaro Quintana secured the doubles point for Omaha. Korkunov earned his singles point in thrilling three set fashion, 6-4, 1-6, 6-4. The Mavericks will look to keep things rolling into tomorrow's match with the Illinois State Redbirds. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m. from Miracle Hill Tennis Center.
