The No. 14 Omaha Mavericks jumped out to an early lead tonight and never looked back. The Mavericks downed the No. 6 St. Cloud State Huskies 6-2 in tonight's regular season home finale.

Junior forward Brock Bremer got things started for Omaha tonight when he buried his second goal of the season, right off a Nolan Sullivan faceoff win. Three minutes later, Freshman forward Jacob Slipec cleaned up a loose puck in front of the St. Cloud State Cage to extend the Mavericks lead to 2-0. Freshmen Jo Lemay and Jacob Guevin registered the assists. The Mavericks would enter the first intermission up 2-1, after a Grant Cruikshank power play goal for SCSU.
