How it Happened

  • Just eight minutes into the match, Alyssa Kellar fed a pass to Sophia Green, who made a brilliant move around the defender and rocketed the ball past the St. Thomas keeper Olivia Rowe to open the scoring early for Omaha. (1-0)

  • Marissa Gohr threatened with another shot on goal in the 10th minute that was saved by Rowe.

  • Mia Reedtz Rehde Olesen made her first save of the game in the 16th minute, which led to a great scoring chance from Emilie Erland that Rowe was able to stop.

  • Erland won the ball back in the attacking end a minute later, finding Green who fed a one-touch pass to the foot of Kellar. Kellar took two strides with the ball before burying it in the back of the net. (2-0)

  • St. Thomas built pressure off the ensuing kickoff, forcing Reedtz to make another save in the 18th minute.

  • Mia would be called upon again in the 26th minute as the senior made her third save of the first half.

  • In the 28th minute, Maggie Gundersen found Kellar in the box. Kellar lobbed a pass in for Cece Behrens, who juggled the ball from her right foot to her left before scorching it past Rowe for the Mavericks' third goal in the first 30 minutes. (3-0)

  • Six minutes into the second half, Alyssa Kellar intercepted a Tommie pass in the box and quickly turned the turnover into her second goal of the match. (4-0)

  • Reedtz would be tested for the first time in the second half in the 61st minute as the native of Denmark made the save. She would make one more in the 68th minute to end with five saves in her third shutout of the season.

  • The Mavericks were able to ice the game with lots of possession time in the attacking end. Omaha took three second-half corner kicks and cruised to a 4-0 win.
