MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Omaha took its third straight game on the road Thursday night to Minnesota. The Gophers took a 2-0 win after two first half goals.
With the loss, Omaha falls to 1-4-2.
How It Happened
- The gophers came out on the attack Thursday night tallying the first six shots of the match.
- Minnesota found the back of the net in the eighth minute on a goal from Gabbie Cesarone for a 1-0 lead.
- In the 13th minute, Emma Konsmo was challenged between the posts for her first save of the night.
- Marissa Gohr responded in the 30th minute for Omaha's first attempt on goal but Megan Plaschko made the stop.
- Just over eight minutes later the Gophers doubled their lead. Sophia Boman scored low left giving Minnesota a 2-0 lead at the break.
- Konsmo was tested four more times in the second half. She made every save, and the Gophers earned a 2-0 win.
