Women's Soccer Set For North Dakota State

LEADING OFF
Omaha continues league play this weekend with North Dakota State on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both the Mavericks and Bison are looking for their first win against a conference opponent. Omaha played to a 0-0 draw with North Dakota Thursday night, while NDSU fell to Denver, 2-0.

QUICK KICKS
• The Mavericks out shot the Fighting Hawks 20-1 Friday night led by Marissa Gohr and Regan Zimmers who tallied three shots each. Eight Mavericks recorded at least two shots in the match.
• Omaha wrapped non-conference action last weekend with a home match vs. Air Force. The Falcons snuck out a 1-0 win.
• Mia Reedtz Rehde Olesen tallied a career-high eight saves in the match. Her eight saves is the second most by a Summit League goalkeeper this season in a single-game.
• At Iowa state earlier last week, Alyssa Hansen netted her first career goal on an assist from Marissa Gohr. It was the first goal scored since Aug. 28 for Omaha.
• Emma Konsmo made her debut in goal for the Mavericks at No. 20 Colorado. She tallied a pair of saves vs. the Buffaloes and recorded a season-high six saves at Minnesota.
• Sophia Green made her return to the Omaha starting line-up at Minnesota. She led the Mavericks with six goals scored last season.
• Regan Zimmers leads the Mavericks with 12 shots, while Cece Behrens has a team-high seven shots on goal.
• Beginning this season, if the score at the end of regulation is 0-0, the teams will earn a draw in their record. Overtime will no longer be played in the regular season.

SCOUTING THE NORTH DAKOTA STATE BISON
Following the non-conference portion of their schedule, the Bision posted a 4-3-3 overall record. North Dakota State saw wins vs. Utah Tech, Chicago State, Green Bay, and Drake. NDSU dropped its non-conference closer at Montana last weekend, 3-0. The Bison were tabbed ninth in the league preseason poll back in August. They posted a 3-6-0 record in conference play in 2021.

BISON TO WATCH
• Paige Goaley leads the Bison with five points this season. She is one of three players on the NDSU squad with two goals. She also has an assist. Goaley leads the Bison with 24 total shots and nine on goal.
• Between the posts, Abby Wilkinson has a 1-1-2 record. She's played in three matches and logged a team-leading 360 minutes. Wilkinson has 25 saves and two shutouts this year.

SERIES HISTORY
NDSU leads the all-time series 10-6-1. Omaha tallied another win in the series last season with a 4-0 onslaught. Sophia Green and Cece Behrens each got in on the scoring.
