CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The Mavericks and Panthers played to a 0-0 draw Thursday night. UNI edged Omaha on shots, 6-4, but both teams take their first tie of the season.
Omaha is now 1-1-1 on the year.
How It Happened
- The Panthers applied pressure early forcing Mia Reedtz Rehde Olesen to be active between the pipes right out of the kickoff.
- Caroline Hazen took a low center shot in the 3rd minute, while Ashley Harrington tallied one high at the six-minute mark. Reedtz made the stop on both attempts.
- Jordyn West headed one to the low right in the 18th minute for Omaha's first attempt, but a diving save kept it clean for UNI.
- The Mavericks stepped up on defense tallying a team save three minutes later on a shot from Siri Ott.
- Omaha recorded the final three shots of the half. Morgan Fenton and Lauren Schmidt would fire on target, but the game remained scoreless at halftime.
- Reedtz made the first two saves of the second half on a long bouncing shot from Olivia Kneopfle in the 54th minute. Sydney Burskey struck in the 74th minute, which was also saved by Reedtz.
- Those would be the only shot on goal attempts of the half and the match resulted in a 0-0 draw.

- Regan Zimmers had an off-target attempt, while Schmidt, West, and Fenton all tallied shots on goal.
- Reedtz made her 14th career shutout in goal and second of the season. She improves to 1-1-1 on the year with another four saves.
