OMAHA, Neb. - The Mavericks dropped the series finale to the Jackrabbits Sunday afternoon. SDSU broke out the bats to earn a 6-0 win.
With the loss, Omaha falls to 12-10 overall and 1-2 in league play.
How It Happened
- SDSU's bats started to heat up in the third inning when Culver homer to left field for the first run of the game.
- A double and steal to third from Lexi Burkhardt in fourth wasn't quite enough for the Mavericks to knot the game, and the Jackrabbits held on to the one-run edge.
- In the top of the sixth, SDSU doubled its lead with Jarecki's second home run of the weekend.
- Omaha loaded the bases in the bottom half of the inning. Lynsey Tucker led off with a single, while Burkhardt and White walked with no outs. The next batters were retired in order to strand the three on base.
- Daugherty got on base first in the seventh inning on a walk, while Osmundson singled a batter later. R. Carrillo doubled to plate the pair of them for a 4-0 lead.
- Culver then made it 6-0 with a two-run blast to left center. SDSU won 6-0.
