CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Omaha split the second day of action at the UNI Dome Tournament. The Mavericks stole a 3-2 win over Drake in the day's opener, and fell to UNI 6-4 in the nightcap.
 
Omaha improves to 1-3 overall.
 
Game One: Omaha 3, Drake 2
How It Happened
	- The Bulldogs took a 1-0 edge in the second inning on two hits. Lightner singled to center advancing Beitzinger to second after she walked an at-bat earlier. Beitzinger eventually scored after a pair of walks for Drake.
- They doubled their lead in the third with another hit by Lightner. Her single allowed Valtman to advance home giving Drake a 2-0 lead.
- The Mavericks responded in the bottom of the third. Sophie Cerveny got on base early with a single. She'd score two at-bats later on a single from Izzy Eltze. Eltze was plated next on a single from Jamie White to tie the game, 2-2.
- In the bottom of the sixth, Sydney Ross led off with a single to right field. She stole second to get into scoring position. Rachel Weber stepped up to the plate and doubled to tally the game-winning RBI.
Inside the Box Score
	- Eltze and Weber finished with two hits each. The Mavericks tallied eight total.
- Kamryn Meyer pitched a complete game. She retired nine batters and improves to 1-1 in the circle.
Game Two: UNI 6, Omaha 4
How It Happened
	- Both teams put a run on the board in the first inning. White got on base with a walk and scored on a double from Rachel Weber for a 1-0 Omaha lead.
- The Panthers tied it on a Shaffer single that plated Parks with two outs.
- UNI took a one-run edge in the third inning where the Panthers tallied two hits. Dodge led off with a triple and scored on Wells' single to center on the next at-bat.
- The Mavericks regained a lead in the fifth inning with a pair of runs scored. Lynsey Tucker led off with a single and the bases quickly loaded with a walk and hit-by-pitch. Tucker scored on another hit-by-pitch to tie the game 2-2.
- White crossed home next on a single from Sedlak for a 3-2 advantage.
- Omaha's lead diminished in the bottom of the sixth inning when the Panthers loaded the bases. Dodge stepped up and homered to plate four runs and take a 6-4 win.
Inside the Box
	- Tucker tallied three stolen bases on the day. White recorded two.
- Tucker and Weber each recorded two hits.
- Omaha finished with eight in the game.
- Sydney Nuismer pitched a complete game. She falls to 0-2 and recorded two strikeouts.
