The Omaha Mavericks more than doubled up the Colorado College Tigers in shots but get edged 1-0 in tonight's series finale.
Hunter McKown's power play goal at 4:57 of the 2nd period was the difference maker in this NCHC road battle. The Mavericks put 40 shots on net to the Tigers 18 but were unable to solve freshman netminder Kaiden Mbereko.
Tonight's shutout defeat is the first time the Mavericks have been blanked this season. The one-goal contest is the third straight game rookie goaltender
