Emma Konsmo was tabbed to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week following her stellar performance in the Summit League Tournament last week.
Konsmo totaled 14 saves over two matches, including a season-high eight saves in the championship match. The freshman keeper recorded a 1-0 shutout vs. South Dakota State with six saves. SDSU was the lone remaining undefeated team in the country, and Konsmos faced 21 shots for the clean sheet victory.
A week later in the Summit League Championship, Konsmo made eight stops. Two of those saves came in penalty kicks helping the Mavericks to a 3-1 PK win. Konsmo held Oral Roberts scoreless through two overtimes for her fourth shutout of the season, and second shutout vs. the Golden Eagles.
Konsmo's performances over the two matches helped Omaha clinch its first ever Summit League Title and an NCAA Tournament berth. Omaha will face No. 1 Notre Dame on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m. in South Bend, Indiana.
