OMAHA, Neb. - The Mavericks will play their regular season finale on Saturday when they host the University of Denver on Senior Day. One of the most crucial matchups of the season, the results of Saturday's match will decide the final seeding of the Summit League Championships.

- The Mavericks were on the road for the final time last week, going 1-1 in North Dakota, falling 2-3 to NDSU before sweeping UND for the second time this season. They held fast at second place in the Summit League with an 18-9 overall record and a 13-4 mark in league play.
- The results of Saturday's match will determine whether or not the Mavericks get a first-round bye in next week's Summit League Championships. Denver (12-5) is right behind Omaha in the standings, while NDSU is tied for second at 13-4. Depending on how things play out, Omaha could end up the second, third, or fourth seed in the tournament.
- Omaha will be having a special Senior Day celebration for three of its seniors on Saturday: Mariah Murdie, Jaiden Centeno, and Sami Clarkson. Fellow senior Rachel Fairbanks will be returning for a fifth year in 2023.
- Murdie transitioned to volleyball this season after spending four years on the Omaha women's basketball team. She played a major role for the team down the stretch as an invaluable depth piece and eventual starter. Overall, she picked up 42 kills and 46 blocks for the Mavericks.
- Centeno transferred to Omaha last season and immediately became one of the top defensive specialists in the league. Over the past two seasons, she has recorded 817 digs and 46 service aces, earning a Summit League Honorable Mention last year. Clarkson will leave Omaha with her name featured prominently throughout the history books. This season she gradually made her way up Omaha's all-time assists leader board, eventually settling in at third place with 4116 assists. The 2021 Summit League Setter of the Year also racked up 98 aces and 791 digs in her career.
Scouting Denver
The Pioneers are directly behind Omaha in the Summit League standings and have a chance at taking the No. 2 seed away from the Mavericks if they win on Saturday. Denver got to this point thanks in part to back-to-back wins last week over North Dakota (3-0) and North Dakota State (3-2).
Senior Brianna Green currently leads the entire Summit League with 146 total blocks and 1.47 blocks/set. She's also fifth in service aces with 30 and 10th in hitting percentage at .269. Back in October, she led Denver with 11 kills and four blocks vs. Omaha.
Senior Lorrin Poulter enters Saturday with the second most assists in the league at 1040 (10.20 assists/set). She also leads the league with 47 service aces. In their match with Omaha, she had 27 assists along with six kills and six digs. Graduate Student Jordan Lockwood is Denver's top scorer with 279 kills, 62 total blocks, and 26 service aces. Against Omaha this year, she recorded three kills and a block assist.
Series History
Omaha is 6-19 all-time against Denver and is currently on a three-match winning streak in the series. Earlier this season, the Mavericks swept the Pioneers 3-0 on the road.
