Mavericks Fall to Pioneers

DENVER, Colo. - A three-match road trip came to an end in Denver Saturday night. The Pioneers edged the Mavericks 2-0 on their home turf.

With the loss, Omaha falls to 2-8-4 overall, 1-2-2 in the league.

How It Happened
  • Emma Konsmo made an early save on a shot from Devan McSwain before Denver found the back of the net in the 18th minute. Kaitlyn Glover was set up by Sami Feller and Addisyn Hyrup for the 1-0 lead.
  • The Pioneers tallied one more shot off target in the half and took the lead into the second.
  • Regan Zimmers challenged Nerea Arrazola in goal just two minutes into the second half, but she got her hands on it for a save.
  • In the 54th minute, Hannah Gallegos took a shot that resulted in a team save, and Camryn MacMillan put away the rebound for a 2-0 Denver lead.
  • Zimmers, Emilie Erland, and Meg Nemnich had off target attempts before time expired. Denver won 2-0.
