Powells Point, N.C.- The Omaha men's golf team completed the first round of the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate on Sunday. 

The Mavericks are currently in 13th place after a team score of 306 in round one. Omaha sits two strokes behind St. Francis, who holds 12th place with 304, and Villanova and St. Joseph, who share 10th place with 302. 

Mathew Halvorson led the Mavericks with a 75 (+4) in the opening round. The graduate student shares 32nd place on the leaderboard with a team-leading three birdies on the day. 

Carter Doose, Nolan Johnson and Kurtis Rodriguez share 46th place. All three Mavericks recorded a 77 (+6) in round one. Tyler Eedy ended the first day in 73rd with a first round of 81. 

Tyler Eedy will tee off first on Monday for the Mavericks. The sophomore will begin the second round at 8:15 a.m. After Eedy, Nolan Johnson will begin round two at 8:24 a.m. Carter Doose's tee time is 8:33 a.m., Kurtis Rodriguez is scheduled for 8:42 a.m., and Mathew Halvorson will tee off at 8:51 a.m. Follow the action with live scoring, available at OMavs.com
