Omaha Falls at Wyoming

LARAMIE, Wyo. - Omaha women's soccer dropped its second road match of the season Thursday night to Wyoming. The Cowgirls netted the ball four times to win 4-0 and pick up their second win of the year.

With the loss, the Mavericks fall to 1-2-0 on the year.

How It Happened
  • The Cowgirls took an early edge with a goal just six minutes into action from Maddie Chance who was assisted by Jamie Tatum.
  • Six minutes later Cece Behrens took a strike for Omaha forcing a save by Alex Daws in goal. Meg Nemnich tallied the next shot of the half in the 45th minute, which was saved again by Daws keeping the lead in Wyoming's favor at the break.
  • Before the second half kicked off, the game entered a weather delay, and it would be another 90 minutes before the teams took the pitch again.
  • The Cowgirls managed to keep their momentum from the first half going in the second firing off two shots within 20 seconds of each other. Their third attempt would connect in the 60th minute as Tatum tallied another two points with a low goal.
  • Faith Joiner made it 3-0 for Wyoming in the 69th minute, while Eliza-Grace Smith netted the final goal of the match in the 85th minute. Cowgirls win, 4-0.
