How It Happened
  • After the loss Friday night, South Dakota came out looking to even things between the teams. The coyotes managed three shots in the first half, including one on goal in the 11th minute to make Mia Reedtz Rehde Olesen work in goal.
  • Sophia Green took Omaha's only shot on goal in the first at the 17:11 mark. Emma Harkleroad made the stop low to the right.
  • Green connected on Omaha's second shot of the second half. South Dakota misplayed the ball in its defensive zone allowing for Regan Zimmers to gain control. She made a pass into the box to Andrea Daves who used one touch to get it to Green. Green gained control and used a series of moves to break free from USD and send the ball high left into the net. She'd tally the game winner in the 55th minute.
  • The Coyotes fired off five more shots on goal before the end of the match, but Olesen locked down for her second shutout vs. USD and held on for the 1-0 win.

Inside the Box Score
  • The Mavericks were outshot 16-4, including 7-2 on goal.
  • Green tallied both the shots on goal. Her goal in the 55th minute is her third of the season, and her second game winner of the year.
  • Olesen tied her season-best with seven saves. She previously made seven vs. South Dakota State on Feb. 15. It is tied fifth in Summit League season game-highs.
  • The win is Olesen's fourth shutout on the season. She improves to 3-1-1 in goal.
  • Sunday's win marks the sixth shutout for Omaha this season. The last season the Mavericks had six shutouts was in 2010.
