OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha women's soccer posted its third straight 1-0 shutout with a win over Oral Roberts Friday night.
Andrea Daves netted the game winner in the 49th minute on a penalty kick.
With the win, the Mavericks improve to 5-2-2 on the year.
How It Happened
- The Mavericks dominated the first half firing off eight shots with two on goal while holding the Golden Eagles without a shot in the first 45 minutes.
- Sophia forced the first shot on goal putting the ball to the low center near the 17-minute mark. Louisa Ramsauer made her first stop of the match.
- Almost ten minute later, Andrea Daves used a fast break to send a shot high left. Ramsauer got her hands on it for her second save of the half. At the break, the match would remain tied 0-0.
- An early foul in goal gave the Mavericks a chance at their first penalty kick of the season. Daves set up for the kick and fired low right. Ramsauer got her hands on it but the ball reflected into the net giving Omaha a 1-0 lead in the 49th minute.
- The Eagles finally got their first shot of the match in the 81st minute. Mia Reedtz Rehde Olesen made the save in the bottom left to keep a clean slate for Omaha.

- Friday's match marks the first time since Oct. 20, 2019 the Mavericks have played a game at Caniglia. The first four home matches were played at the Center this season.
- Omaha outshot Oral Roberts 17-3 and 8-1 on goal.
- Daves' goal marks her third of the season. She scored one goal in both wins vs. North Dakota. Friday's goal is also Daves' second game winner of the year.
