OMAHA, Neb. – The Pioneers used a goal in the seventh minute of action Sunday afternoon to capture the win over Omaha and sweep the regular season series. The Mavericks fell, 1-0.
With the loss, Omaha falls to 7-4-3 this season.
How It Happened
- Sydney Sharp netted the game winner just seven minutes into the match Sunday afternoon. Sami Feller sent her a ball into the box for a goal past Madeline Smith.
- Emilie Erland, Andrea Daves, and Jordyn West all fired off shots on target in the first half, but the Pioneers made three saves to keep a 1-0 edge at the break.
- Grace Thede and Grace Crockett each recorded a shot on goal in the second half, but Omaha couldn't convert allowing the Pioneers a regular season sweep.
