Conquering The Streak

On Nov. 23, 2019, Omaha volleyball topped No. 1 seeded South Dakota in four sets for a historic win. The win advanced Omaha to The Summit League Championship Final for the first time since 2015 and ended the Coyotes' 24-match winning streak. The Mavericks were the only Summit League team to defeat South Dakota throughout the regular season or tournament, and handed the program its first loss since Sept. 3, 2019.

Blaschko Caps Off Historic Season

The Shakopee, Minn., native appeared in all 33 matches in the middle and became the first Maverick in the Division I era to earn AVCA All-Midwest Region First Team honors. Blaschko was also named All-Summit for her performances and saw other accolades along the way which included: Omaha Challenge All-Tournament Team, Summit League All-Academic Team and Grand Canyon All-Invite Team.

Blaschko Earns AVCA Midwest Region First Team Honor
Anna was a consistent force for us all season. She usually hit for a high percentage regardless of who we were playing and was talented enough to score even when our opponents committed to stopping her. The numbers speak for themselves and she's definitely earned this honor.
