FARGO, N.D. – The Omaha volleyball program won its third-consecutive match in straight sets with a 3-0 sweep over North Dakota State on the road.
The Mavericks defeated the Bison 25-13, 25-10, 25-16 and improve to 13-11 overall and 6-4 in league play. The Bison fall to 10-12 and 5-5 in league action.

INSIDE SET ONE
Omaha opened the match with a 7-1 run to start off with the momentum it needed. A pair of
Isabella Sade kills increased the Omaha lead at 15-7. Omaha maintained the large lead with two Limback kills that put the score at 19-10. The Mavericks closed out the opening set with a 6-2 run for the 12-point win.
INSIDE SET TWO
Another strong start by Omaha plagued the Bison. The Mavericks sparked an 8-3 run from a Limback kill. Omaha forced a North Dakota State timeout after the lead increased 14-6. Five-straight points followed, capped off by a pair of
Alexa Blase kills. From there, the Mavericks ended the set and went up 2-0 on a 5-1 run to clinch the second set.
INSIDE SET THREE
A back-and-forth third set saw Omaha hold a 5-4 lead. A crucial kill by Sade made the score 8-7 and proved to be the turning point for the Mavericks. From there, the team never trailed for the remainder of the match. The Omaha lead built to 16-10 and forced NDSU to take a timeout. Another 5-0 run followed and gave the Mavericks a 21-12 lead later on. Omaha eventually won 25-16 for its third straight sweep this season.
