EL PASO, Texas – Omaha softball ended its five-game slate in El Paso, Texas, with a 8-4 loss at UTEP on Sunday afternoon.
The Mavericks slip to 7-7 on the season with the setback.
How It Happened
- A pair of RBI singles in the bottom of the third gave the Miners a 3-0 lead through three innings.
- Emma Dargy singled through the left side, scoring Grace Boganowski and plating Omaha's first run in the fourth.
- Diana Murtha reached on a fielder's choice and Jamie White was safe on a play at the plate to cut the deficit to one.
- Janae Cameron singled home Dargy and Murtha raced home on a throwing error on the play to give Omaha a 4-3 lead.
- The Miners took the lead back in the fifth on a two-run homer.
- UTEP added to its advantage in the sixth with a three-run home run.
