How It Happened
- The Redbirds snagged an early lead in the seventh minute, scoring off a deflected save.
- Illinois State doubled its lead in the 17th minute when Mikayla Unger put one into the back of the net.
- Rapaduski received a quick pass from Laurin Mertz and fired a dribbler inside the left post to cut the deficit in half at 2-1 in the 32nd minute.
- The Redbirds stretched the lead to two in the 81st minute with Del Fava's second goal of the match.
- Omaha kept the match alive when LaVigne struck a header into the top right corner of the frame off the corner kick by Jaden Thiem.
