Mavericks, Wildcats Play to 0-0 Draw on Sunday

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw vs. Kansas State on Sunday afternoon at Caniglia Field.
 
How It Happened
  • The Maverick offense threatened in the 15th minute when Amanda Rapaduski fired a shot from the left side of the box before being denied by the K-State goalkeeper.
  • Omaha's Tabitha Allberg nearly broke the scoreless tie in the 44th minute, flicking a header that nearly found the back of the net, but was saved by KSU.
  • Goalkeeper Kelly Lemke rejected Kansas State's breakaway opportunity with 30 seconds left in regulation to send the match into overtime.
  • The UNO offense was only able to register one shot in the span of the two overtime periods while the Maverick defense held the K-State attack to one shot in extra time.
