Mavericks Cruise Past Graceland, 85-46

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's basketball program cruised to an 85-46 win over Graceland Tuesday evening inside Baxter Arena. With the victory, Omaha improves to 5-8 on the year.

LEADERS FOR OMAHA
Akili Felici led the Mavericks with 14 points to the win over Graceland. She shot 4-of-9 from three and 5-for-10 from the field. Mariah Murdie followed with 13 points and nine rebounds on 5-for-7 shooting, while Rayanna Carter and Kia Wilson netted 11 points apiece. Ella Ogier was one basket shy of a double-double with eight points and 10 boards.

LEADERS FOR GRACELAND
Kailey Boden paced Graceland with a game-high 16 points. Brooke Vermeer was the second double-digit scorer with 12 points.

TEAM STATS
Omaha shot 33-of-78 from the field (42.3%) and 8-for-30 from deep (26.7%). The team was also 11-for-14 from the charity stripe. The Mavericks had seven blocks, 12 steals with 19 assists on 11 turnovers.

Graceland was held to 17-of-58 shooting (29.3%), 3-of-14 from deep (21.4%) and 9-of-16 from the free throw line (56.3%). The Mavericks forced 20 turnovers on the Yellowjackets.

INSIDE THE FIRST HALF
Omaha led by just one point at the end of the first quarter (13-12), but gathered some momentum in the second. Back-to-back Wilson buckets in the second put the Mavericks up 34-23 with just under a minute to go until halftime. At the half, Omaha led by 12.

INSIDE THE SECOND HALF
The Mavericks kept their foot on the gas pedal and built a 21-point lead with 2:25 to go in the third. A pair of Sarah Schmitt free throws put Omaha ahead 58-33 heading in to the fourth. Omaha went on to outscore Graceland 27-13 in the final quarter for the 85-46 win.

LOOKING AHEAD
Omaha is off until Dec. 29, where the team opens Summit League play against South Dakota State. The competition is set for 2 p.m. inside Baxter Arena, with the men's team following in a doubleheader at 4:30. For more information, visit OMavs.com.
