OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's basketball program dropped an 81-45 result to Northern Iowa Tuesday evening inside Baxter Arena. 

The Mavericks (4-7) were limited to just 17 second-half points as the Panthers (6-3) pulled away for the win. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE 
As a team, Omaha shot 17-of-57 (29.8%) and 3-of-21 from three (14.3%). The Mavericks were also .500 from the charity stripe on 8-of-16 shooting. 

For Northern Iowa, the team shot over 50% from the field on 28-of-55 and 25% from deep (5-of-20). Free throws aided the Panthers as they were 20-of-22 from the line on 90.9%. UNI also had 37 points off 26 UNO turnovers.

LEADERS FOR OMAHA
The duo of Mariah Murdie and Rayanna Carter led the way with a team-high 11 points apiece. Claire Killian followed with nine points, while Josie Filer and Ella Ogier led the way with six rebounds each. 

LEADERS FOR NORTHERN IOWA 
Karli Rucker had a game-high 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting. Kristina Cavey followed with 11 points and a game-high seven boards. Teammates Rose Simon-Ressler and Bre Gunnels had 10 points apiece to round out the Panthers' double-digit scoring. 

INSIDE THE FIRST HALF 
Despite an early struggle, Omaha climbed out of a 11-0 hole to start the game and cut it to 17-10 after one quarter of play. In the second quarter, Omaha outscored the Panthers 18-16. At the 4:31 mark in the frame, an Abby Johnson corner three and a Murdie layup cut the Panther lead to 23-20. Another three by Carter kept the game at one possession with 2:25 to go until the half (27-24). The Panthers built a small cushion on a late run, but the Mavericks trailed by just five at the half, 33-28. 

INSIDE THE SECOND HALF 
Northern Iowa had a blistering start to the third quarter and eventually outscored the Mavericks 28-10 in the frame. With 7:50 to go in the quarter, Omaha stayed within striking distance after an and-one by Murdie that made it a 37-33 game. Northern Iowa, however, responded with a 10-0 run over the next minute made it a 47-33 deficit. After three, Omaha trailed 61-38. The Panthers closed out the game with a 20-7 fourth quarter that gave them the win. 

NOTES 
•    Mariah Murdie notched her 12th career double-digit scoring game. 
•    Rayanna Carter's 11 points gives her 17 double-digit games and two on the year. 
•    Josie Filer and Ella Ogier's six rebounds makes them the team's rebounding leader for their 17th and second-career games, respectively. 
•    Omaha falls to 3-2 all-time against Northern Iowa. 
•    Murdie's three steals gives her two three-plus steal games in her career. 

LOOKING AHEAD
