OMAHA, Neb. – Sophomore
Andrea Daves' first career goal boosted the Omaha women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Green Bay on Sunday afternoon.
The Mavericks improved to 1-4-1 overall, while the Phoenix moved to 1-5 on the season.
Omaha scored the lone goal of the match in the 76th minute.
Emily Romero split a pair of Green Bay defenders along the left side, giving Daves a clear path to the goal. Daves took a touch and placed her right-footed shot into the left corner to give Omaha the 1-0 advantage.
