Women’s Soccer Topples Green Bay, 1-0

OMAHA, Neb. – Sophomore Andrea Daves' first career goal boosted the Omaha women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Green Bay on Sunday afternoon.

The Mavericks improved to 1-4-1 overall, while the Phoenix moved to 1-5 on the season. 

Omaha scored the lone goal of the match in the 76th minute.  Emily Romero split a pair of Green Bay defenders along the left side, giving Daves a clear path to the goal.  Daves took a touch and placed her right-footed shot into the left corner to give Omaha the 1-0 advantage.

•    Omaha outshot Green Bay 15-9 and held a 7-2 advantage in shots on goal.
•    The Mavericks owned an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.
•    Kiana Dualan and Kaitlyn Guhl made their first career start in today's game.  Cydney Skinner also made her first start of the season.
•    Erin Bunker started and played all 90 minutes for UNO and recorded two saves. 
•    Between the two teams, there were 15 fouls with each team getting a yellow card.
