Women’s Soccer Drops 1-0 Decision at Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Omaha women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss to Missouri State at Allison South Stadium on Friday.

The Mavericks fell to 0-4-1 on the season, while the Bears moved to 4-3 overall.

The lone goal of the match came during the sixth minute.  Missouri State's Anna Durnin lofted a shot from 20-yards out that found the back of the net to put the Bears up 1-0.

The score remained 1-0 at the half, as MSU and UNO were tied in shots 4-4 in the opening 45 minutes.

In the second half, Missouri State maintained its lead and outshot Omaha 4-3.

-    Missouri State held an 8-7 advantage in shots, while Omaha led 4-3 in shots on goal.
-    Bailey Cascio and Emily Romero had two shots each.  Both of Romero's shots were on goal.
-    Brylie Meyer and Andrea Daves each had a shot on target.
-    Ina Gudjonsdottir started and played all 90 minutes for UNO and recorded two saves.
-    The Mavericks had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
