JONESBORO, Ark. – The Omaha men's golf team is in 13th place after the first two rounds of the ASU Red Wolf Intercollegiate on Monday.
The Mavericks shot a two-round team score of 604 at the Ridge Pointe Country Club. Arkansas State leads its own event with a score of 555. Tennessee Martin is second at 561, and ASU's “B” team is third at 571.
Ben Maskus leads the Mavericks and is tied for 33rd overall in the field of 80 golfers with matching rounds of 73 for a total of 146.
Cameron MacGregor is second for UNO and tied for 46th with a total of 150 that included back-to-back rounds of 75.
Mitch Ryan shot 79 and 77 for a score of 156 that puts him third for the Mavericks and tied with teammate
Sam Musch for 66th overall. Musch fired 77 in round one and 79 in round two.
Kevin Gordon carded rounds of 75 and 82 for a total of 157 to complete the scoring.
Kobi Boe, playing as an individual, shot scores of 82-74-156 to sit in a tie for 66th.
The final round begins Tuesday at 8 a.m.
