• Omaha was picked to finish second in the 2016 Summit League Preseason Poll.

Scouting the Crusaders
Valparaiso enters Monday's match on a three-game winning streak with an overall record of 5-2-2 and a 3-0-1 Horizon League mark. Valpo used a first half goal by Kendan Anderson to defeat Oakland in conference play on Saturday evening.
Isaiah Madrid leads the Crusaders with 15 points on six goals and three assists. Anderson, Ramone Howell and Nelson Landaverde each have scored twice. Nico Campbell is 5-2-2 in goal with a 1.24 goals-against average and a .686 save percentage.
Head coach Mike Avery is in his 10th season leading the Crusaders with a record of 69-72-38. Avery is in his 15th season overall with a record of 124-118-46.
Series History
Monday's meeting will be the second meeting between Omaha and Valparaiso. Valpo leads the all-time series 1-0. In their only meeting, the Crusaders defeated the Mavericks 1-0 in overtime on Sept. 28, 2015.
