This WeekThe Omaha men's basketball team hits the road again this week, traveling to Oral Roberts on Wednesday, Jan. 14. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Mabee Center in Tulsa, Okla., and the game will be available on ESPN3 with Scott Higgins on play-by-play and Mickey Michalec providing color commentary. Scouting the Oral Roberts Golden EaglesOral Roberts carries a record of 8-8 (2-1 Summit League) into Wednesday's meeting after defeating Western Illinois on the road last Saturday, 66-57. Obi Emegano finished with a game-high 28 points, going 14-of-16 at the free throw line, and Korey Billbury pulled down a team-best 10 rebounds.
Head coach Scott Sutton is in his 16th year at ORU, and he holds a career coaching mark of 295-201.
Wednesday marks the third meeting all-time between Omaha and Oral Roberts, and the Golden Eagles lead the series, 2-0. The last meeting of the two teams was in 1975-76, when ORU earned an 80-57 win.

•According to kenpom.com, UNO is third nationally in adjusted tempo, which estimates of the possessions per 40 minutes a team would have against a team that wants to play at an average Division I tempo. Omaha's adjusted tempo is listed at 75.7, behind only VMI (77.9) and Coppin State (76.3).
•The Mavericks' streak of hitting at least three 3-pointers in 68 consecutive contests, in place since Dec. 9, 2012, came to an end on Jan. 10 vs. South Dakota State.
•When scoring 40 or more points in the first half, Omaha has gone 5-0 this season.
•Omaha has taken a 16-point lead in the first five minutes of play twice this year. The Mavericks went up 16-0 against Iowa Wesleyan on Dec. 10 and 23-7 at Nebraska on Nov. 25.
•UNO earned its first win over a power-six conference on Nov. 22 with a 97-89 triumph at Marquette.

Mike Rostampour achieved the sixth double-double of his career and his third of the season, finishing with 11 points and a game-high 13 rebounds along with two steals.
Freshman forward
Tre'Shawn Thurman posted a team-leading 12 points with eight boards, an assist and a block, and junior forward
Jake White matched him with another 12 points, alongside seven rebounds. Junior guard
Marcus Tyus added 11 points and eight caroms and a pair of assists.
Omaha struggled offensively, shooting a season-low .269 (18-of-67) and .063 (1-of-16) from long range. South Dakota State finished at .475 (29-of-61), including .429 (12-of-28) beyond the arc. The Mavericks won the rebounding battle, 48-46, and committed just 10 turnovers.
House of CarterCJ Carter's position in UNO's record books has been rapidly rising during his senior season. He is eighth all-time for career assists (311), 10th in steals (128), 13th in 3-pointers made (120), 13th in scoring (1,259 points) and 12th for field goals made (442). On Jan. 10 against South Dakota State, the Omaha native passed former Maverick Bob Mackie (1951-55) on the scoring list, and he is now 19 points away from tying Stan Schaetzle (1953-57) for 11th.
Rebounds by RostampourSenior forward
Mike Rostampour has been solid on the glass this year, as he leads the Summit League for rebounding. The West St. Paul, Minn., native is averaging 7.9 rebounds per game, up from his 6.0 rpg at this point last year.
Rostampour has grabbed at least six boards in each of the last 11 games, including his fifth double-digit rebound effort of the season with 13 vs. South Dakota State (Jan. 10).
White OutDespite nagging injury issues to start the season, junior forward
Jake White has been highly productive in the time he has seen on the court. Over seven appearances, including one start in the season opener, White has averaged 8.0 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. In those contests, he has had three double-figure scoring efforts and two double-figure rebounding performances, including a season-high 13 points at South Dakota (Jan. 2) and a season-best 11 boards twice, vs. Central Arkansas (Nov. 16) and at UMKC (Dec. 13).
Stacking Up NationallyThe Mavericks have maintained their place the top 50 in the national statistical rankings, as Omaha's 78.0 points per game ranks 24th among Division I programs, and its 8.6 steals per game are 27th. UNO's 303 free throws made this year are also third in the country.
Individually, junior guard
Devin Patterson is 19th with 2.4 steals per game.
