Box Score OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's basketball team improved to a perfect 3-0 at home on Wednesday night, defeating Iowa Wesleyan 94-67 at Ralston Arena. With the win, the Mavericks are now 4-4 (0-0 Summit League).
Junior guard
Devin Patterson finished with a game-high 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting, going a career-best 4-of-4 from long range. He added two assists and four steals.

Daniel Meyer led the way on the glass, pulling down a season-best 13 rebounds alongside six points.
As a team, Omaha shot .548 (34-of-62), its second-highest field goal percentage of the season, to the Tigers' .357 (20-of-56). The Mavericks also tallied a season-high 50 points in the paint and outrebounded Iowa Wesleyan, 36-29.
Iowa Wesleyan was led by 26 points from Will Stephenson and another 12 from Wesley Williams.
It was all Omaha to open the game, as the Mavericks started with a 16-0 run in the first four minutes of play. After Iowa Wesleyan made it 18-7, UNO put together a 17-2 run to go up 35-9 with 5:52 until halftime. Behind 11 first-half points from Patterson and 17-of-33 (52 percent) team shooting, the Mavericks took a 48-23 lead by the break.
Iowa Wesleyan challenged in the second half, outscoring Omaha 15-4 in the first seven minutes. The Tigers came within 13 on two free throws by Brock Butler at 9:37, making it 62-49. UNO then caught fire, scoring 15 unanswered points capped by a Patterson three to lead 77-49 with 6:52 remaining. The Mavericks took their largest lead of the game on a layup from
Randy Reed, pushing it to 92-63, and went on to earn their third home win of the season, 94-67.
Omaha returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 13, traveling to UMKC. Tipoff is set for 2:05 p.m. at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo., and the game will be televised live on American Sports Network and available in Omaha on KPTM Fox 42.
