Box Score INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Omaha volleyball team visited IUPUI on Friday night, falling 3-0 (20-25, 20-25, 12-25) at The Jungle. The Mavericks are now 10-17 (5-9 Summit League) on the season, while the Jaguars are 16-11 (10-2 Summit League).
Junior middle blocker
Megan Schmale led Omaha on both sides, totaling a team-best nine kills on .350 hitting along with a team-high four blocks.
Junior rightside hitter
Michaela Schimmer added eight kills and three blocks, while junior outside hitter
Kelley Wollak had seven kills with eight digs. Freshman setter
Sydney O'Shaughnessy finished with 31 assists, eight digs, three blocks and two service aces for the night.
Defensively, junior libero
Kimberly Bailey had 10 digs, and freshman defensive specialist
Marisa Moseman chipped in nine of her own. Junior middle blocker
Diane Banderas added two blocks and two kills in the effort, and freshman outside hitter
Mackenzie Horkey accounted for five kills, five digs and an ace.
As a team, Omaha held the edge with six blocks to IUPUI's one. The Jaguars outhit UNO, .356 to .210, however, including .600 in the final set.
IUPUI was led by a double-double on 12 kills and 12 digs from Kaitlyn Hickey. She was one of three Jaguar players to finish with double-figure kills, as Meredith Farkas and Kelly Wachtel each had 10 more.
