Box Score TULSA, Okla. -- The Omaha volleyball team made its first visit to Oral Roberts on Tuesday night, falling 3-1 (20-25, 25-22, 16-25, 9-25) at the Aerobics Center. The Mavericks are now 10-16 (5-8 Summit League) on the year, while the Golden Eagles improve to 13-13 (7-6 Summit League).
Freshman setter
Sydney O'Shaughnessy recorded her sixth straight double-double with 34 assists and 10 digs, which also marked her team-leading 15th double-double of the season. O'Shaughnessy also had four kills and two blocks.
Junior middle blocker
Megan Schmale had a team-high 11 kills, hitting .643 for the night while adding a pair of blocks. Junior outside hitter
Kelley Wollak also had a double-figure performance, finishing with 10 kills.

Amy Taylor totaled a team-leading four blocks with four kills, and freshman outside hitter
Mackenzie Horkey added eight kills and six digs.
Oral Roberts outhit Omaha, .353 to .204, and outblocked the Mavericks, 8-7. The Golden Eagles' serving also came through with 12 aces to UNO's two.
Laura Milos led ORU with 22 kills on .528 attacking, and Shelby Cox had a match-high six blocks. Lucija Bojanjec notched a match-leading 41 assists.
The opening set proved close, as Omaha trailed but maintained a manageable margin for much of the game. The Mavericks pulled within one at 20-19 on a Horkey kill, but ORU used a 5-1 run to close it out for a 25-20 win.
UNO broke through a 7-7 tie in the second set and held its lead the rest of the way, helped by three team blocks. The Mavericks made it 12-7 with a quick five points, including kills from Wollak and Taylor and a block by Taylor and junior setter/rightside hitter
Michaela Schimmer. Omaha maintained a five-point lead when it hit 18-13 and 20-15, though the Golden Eagles challenged by pulling within two at 22-20. A Schmale kill and ORU attack error made it 24-20, and three plays later, an O'Shaughnessy kill put it away at 25-22.
The tide turned back to Oral Roberts in the third game, as the Golden Eagles snapped a 6-6 tie and surged to a 22-12 lead. Milos accounted for seven of ORU's 11 kills for the set, and her final swing finished it off at 25-16. Oral Roberts' offense also gave Omaha another steep challenge in the fourth game, as the Golden Eagles hit .500 as a team and had five aces on their way to a 25-9 set win and a 3-1 match victory.
