Mavs Fall to Iowa State, North Dakota

AMES, Iowa – The Omaha swimming & diving team continued its road swing on Friday night with a double dual against Iowa State and North Dakota at ISU's Beyer Hall Pool. The Mavs finished 0-2 in the meet, falling to the host Cyclones, 224-73, and North Dakota, 213-87.

Omaha closed the night winless in the 16 total events.

Junior Natalie Renshaw captured a pair of top-three finishes. Renshaw took second in the 50 free (24.22) and third in the 200 free (1:55.77), and the Millard North alum also clocked in a season-best time in the 200 back (2:11.88).

Sophomore Morgan Stepp placed third in 500 free (5:13.14), posting the fastest time of the season in the event for any Maverick, besting her previous time by four seconds.

Junior Miranda Knipfer took third in the 1-meter dive, penciling in a season-high score of 235.70.

Omaha returns to the pool on Thursday, Nov. 6 against conference foe South Dakota. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. from the DakotaDome pool in Vermillion, S.D.
