Box Score OMAHA, Neb. -- The Omaha volleyball team dropped a match to conference leader Denver on Friday night, falling 3-0 (23-25, 19-25, 19-25) at Sapp Fieldhouse. The Mavericks are now 9-15 (4-7 Summit League), while the Pioneers improve to 20-5 (9-2 Summit League).
Junior outside hitter
Kelley Wollak paced Omaha with 15 kills and 11 digs for her 11th double-double of the season. Freshman setter
Sydney O'Shaughnessy finished with 30 assists and 10 digs for her team-leading 13th double-double of the year.
Junior middle blocker
Megan Schmale led the way at the net with three blocks, as well as seven digs. Junior defensive specialist
Kimberly Bailey added 15 digs for the night.
As a team, Omaha hit .107 to Denver's .237 and trailed the Pioneers in blocking, 10-6.
DU was led by two players with double-figure kill nights, as Nola Basey had 14, and Moni Corrujedo had 12. Bailey Karst had 32 assists for the match, and Kate Acker had a match-high 19 digs. Sarah Schmidt highlighted the Pioneers' blocking effort, totaling six stops.
