This WeekendThe Omaha men's basketball team (12-9, 2-4 Summit League) returns to action this Saturday, Feb. 1, traveling to IUPUI. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. (CT) at The Jungle in Indianapolis, Ind., and the game will be streamed live on ESPN3.com with Greg Rakstraw on play-by-play and Bob Lovell providing color commentary. KOZN 1620 AM will also carry the radio broadcast live with Gary Sharp calling the action, or fans can stream the radio broadcast on their smartphones by downloading NRG Media's app “1620 The Zone.” Links to live stats, audio and video will be available on OMavs.com.
Scouting the IUPUI JaguarsIUPUI enters the weekend with a record of 5-18 (0-6 Summit League) after dropping a 69-54 loss to Western Illinois on Jan. 30. Ja'Rob McCallum led the way with 18 points, while Khufu Najee (14) and Mitch Patton (10) also scored in double figures.
Three Jaguars have averaged double-figure scoring this year, led by 15.9 points per game from Ian Chiles. Patton comes in at 12.4 points per game, and Najee has 10.0 per contest. Marcellus Barksdale has grabbed a team-best 6.9 rebounds per game, which is third in the conference. IUPUI is led by head coach Todd Howard, who holds a record of 25-62 over three seasons.
Omaha leads the all-time series with IUPUI, 2-0. The two teams last squared off on Feb. 9, 2014, with the Mavericks earning an 85-78 win in Indianapolis.
Quick Hits•Kenpom.com lists Omaha's adjusted tempo of 74.4 possessions per 40 minutes at fourth nationally.
•According to RPIRatings.com, UNO's RPI is 134th nationally through games of Jan. 26, the second highest of any Summit League team.
•The Mavericks' average scoring margin of 5.9 points is 94th in the country. UNO's wins have come with an average margin of victory of 17.3 points, while their losses have come with an average of 9.2.
•UNO is 8-2 this season when scoring 80 or more points in a game.
•Omaha finished with a season-high .556 shooting percentage in its win at South Dakota State on Jan. 18. In the last two years, Omaha is 11-5 when shooting .500 or better as a team.

Justin Simmons has 13 career scoring performances with 20 or more points. Senior center
John Karhoff is just behind him with eight, and junior guard CJ Cater has six.
•Omaha tallied its 12th win of the season on Jan. 25, defeating South Dakota at home, 77-73. The victory pushed UNO over its 2012-13 wins total (11) and marks the Mavericks' highest wins total since going Division I.
•The Mavericks' five-game win streak from Nov. 25 to Dec. 14 was their longest stretch since beginning the Division I transition, and it was the UNO's longest since the 2010-11 season.
•Omaha received votes in the CollegeInsider.com mid-major poll for five straight weeks from Dec. 16 to Jan. 13. This year marks the Mavericks' inclusion for the first time in school history.
•Over 2012-13 and 2013-14, Omaha is 13-5 when junior guard
CJ Carter scores 15 or more points in a game. Carter led the Mavericks in three straight games to open the year with 18 points at Northern Illinois, 22 at Iowa and 22 vs. UMKC.
Last Time Out: at Fort Wayne (Jan. 30)The Omaha men's basketball saw its 10-point second-half lead erased on Thursday night, falling 86-82 to Fort Wayne at Gates Sports Center. Senior guard
Justin Simmons scored a season-high 28 points on 11-of-21 shooting with four 3-pointers. The Milwaukee, Wis., native added six rebounds, three assists and a block for the night.
Two other Mavericks had double-figure scoring nights, with 19 points from senior center
John Karhoff and another 12 from sophomore guard
Devin Patterson.
Junior forward
Mike Rostampour led the way on the glass, pulling down a career-high 12 rebounds, including five offensive boards. As a team, Omaha outrebounded IPFW 36-31 and totaled 16 offensive rebounds.
